I'm Chelsea Silva, an Instructional Designer and E-Learning Developer committed to designing and developing engaging training that incorporates real-world scenarios to connect learners to content. Through my experience in instructional design, I've come to understand that learning does not happen solely in a theoretical space--it's about application, evaluation, and implementing what you've learned!
I apply that basic concept to creatively implement best practices of adult learning theory through blended learning experiences to best meet learner needs, using authoring tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise. I thrive on collaboration with team members as well as stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning objectives, working together to maintain milestones and deadlines. I'm a natural leader, demonstrating my greatest strengths through effective communication, attention to detail, and harboring a positive and encouraging work environment where all members feel valued and represented.
My desire for learning extends into my personal interests as well! I am a travel enthusiast, curious to soak up any opportunity to learn about other cultures and languages, specifically to Spanish-speaking countries where I can practice my Spanish skills. Additionally, I love to bake and decorate cookies, and I'm constantly seeking to improve my techniques.
